For their magical wedding on the shores of Lake Como, Sandra and Jonathan, a Luxembourgish couple who adore Italy and especially Lake Como, chose to celebrate their union at the magnificent villa Aura del Lago, located not far from Bellagio, directly on the shores of Lake Como. Their wish was to create unforgettable memories for their loved ones, friends, and family in this splendid setting.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains, Sandra and Jonathan exchanged their vows in a breathtaking setting. The villa Aura del Lago, with its elegant architecture and lush gardens, provided a dream backdrop for their ceremony and wedding reception.

The guests, who arrived by boat, were greeted with elegance and led to the ceremony, which took place right on the shores of Lake Como, offering stunning views of the sparkling waters and majestic mountains. The emotion was so intense that they struggled to hold back their tears. Dried flower petals added a final touch to the ceremony, followed by an iconic kiss from the newlyweds.

After the ceremony, the guests were invited to the reception on the villa’s lakeside terrace, where they enjoyed a magical moment, surrounded by delicious Italian food and live music, with a saxophonist moving among the guests.

The Italian dinner then took place at beautiful round tables, creating an intimate and warm atmosphere, while a special table was reserved just for the bride and groom.

We created a pastel-colored decoration for our lovely couple, which was both elegant and sophisticated. Every detail was carefully considered to create a refined and romantic atmosphere. The beautiful flowers, meticulously arranged, added a touch of freshness and natural beauty. The two-tone candles provided a soft and warm glow for the evening, while the unique and personalized graphic design added a personal and distinctive touch to the entire event.

Sandra and Jonathan’s magical wedding on the shores of Lake Como was a truly unique celebration, marked by elegance, natural beauty, and love. Every detail, from the enchanting setting to the sophisticated decor, contributed to creating a magical and unforgettable day for the bride and groom and their guests.

Throughout the planning of this Lake Como wedding, from the initial discussions to the end of the event, I had the honor of accompanying Sandra and Jonathan with discretion and professionalism. My role was to ensure that every detail was perfect, allowing the newlyweds and their guests to fully enjoy this magical day.

Wedding in the Heart of the Vineyards

Un mariage au milieu des vignes piémontaises
Un mariage au milieu des vignes piémontaises
Carmen and Yannick, our couple from Canada, made the journey of a lifetime to tie the knot amidst the Piedmontese vineyards, in an enchanting setting that embraces the region’s rich wine culture and culinary specialties.

Choosing the boutique hotel La Villa Hotel in Mombaruzzo for their nuptials, Carmen and Yannick opted for a luxurious and charming venue meticulously designed in every detail.

With the convenience of on-site accommodation for some guests, the couple and their loved ones enjoyed an extended weekend celebration, starting with a welcome dinner in the form of a “pizza party” and culminating in a poolside brunch the following day.

Following an emotionally charged ceremony with a panoramic view of the vineyards, guests were treated to a magnificent buffet of typically Italian appetizers. The colors and flavors perfectly complemented each other, tantalizing the taste buds. The dinner unfolded under the stars and vintage lights, followed by a lively celebration organized under a magnificent wooden and brick structure, featuring the cake cutting, luminous fountains, and a spirited party.

Mariage Piémont

The wedding decor seamlessly blended with the chosen venue, incorporating rustic chairs, a wine-themed seating arrangement, and gourmet gifts for guests (artisanal regional spreads for the ladies and olive oil for the gentlemen).

Every detail was thoughtfully curated to bring an element of elegance, with gold accents from the couple’s invitations extending to a delicate centerpiece featuring a transparent candle.

A mediterranean wedding

PAULINE & ANTOINE, A COUPLE LIKE NO OTHER

Pauline and Antoine have been together for many years but wanted to make their love a reality. After getting married in a civil ceremony in Paris where they live, they wanted to bring together all their loved ones on the shores of Lake Maggiore for a big celebration. I often talk about the “Marriage Experience.” This expression takes on its full meaning here. Our couple truly offered their guests an experience that they will remember for a long time, they brought Sicily on the shores of Lake Maggiore for their mediterranean wedding.

THE WEDDING VENUE

Pauline and Antoine had arranged to meet their guests at the lakeside in Stresa where they took a boat for an extraordinary aperitif not far from the Borromean Islands, at sunset.

They then moved to Villa Claudia Dal Pozzo, in Belgirate, for which they had a real crush (and we understand them)!

Its magnificent terrace with a breathtaking view of the lake served as the scene for a romantic dinner which turned into an outdoor dance party on several occasions!

A RETURN TO THE ORIGINS

Antoine, being of Sicilian origin, wanted decoration with southern accents.

We therefore created a Mediterranean style table with details such as lemons which were the common thread of the entire decoration…

To bring the south back to Stresa, we also gave the bride and groom a surprise: our musician started playing the accordion between the tables. This created a unique atmosphere!

A winter wedding in Stresa

A WINTER WEDDING IN STRESA

Thanks to the mild climate of Lake Maggiore, it is quite possible to organize a winter wedding in Stresa. This is the bet made by our spouses Alessandra & Roberto who wanted to get married after so many years and two beautiful children. A February day under the sign of a beautiful sun, romantic and soft…

A BEAUTIFUL ENCOUNTER

When they contacted me, two months before, I had a very good feeling with this magnificent couple. Being both very busy with their respective activities between Geneva, Alessandria and Vercelli, they needed help to organize this day. Despite the fact that I was 9 months pregnant on the date of the wedding, I embarked on this beautiful challenge.

A RETURN TO ORIGINS

Villa Frua in Stresa was an obvious choice of wedding venue, its warm internal rooms lending themselves perfectly to the event. Alessandra being from Gignese, a small village above Stresa, the couple chose to celebrate there the religious ceremony. In order to remember the grandmother of our bride, Jewish music was played by our organist accompanied by our talented violinist. That was very emotional!

THE WEDDING DAY

After the mass, the festivities therefore all took place at Villa Frua. Thanks to our trusted caterer, guests were greeted with a warm welcome drink, especially appreciated in this season. Alessandra and Roberto had chosen French music for the musical background of the reception in order to give a retro and elegant touch to their big day.

DECCORATION AND COLORS

The wedding palette is sage green and white, elegant and natural colors. Alessandra and Roberto wanted a simple, elegant atmosphere with wintry touches and light.

A French Wedding on Lake Maggiore

A French wedding on Lake Maggiore

Venue: Villa Rocchetta | Photographer: Enrico Mocci

Our beautiful French couple, Choé & Guillaume love the lakes area and Italy.

It is really a family story, as Chloé’s parents had already married a few years earlier in Orta San Giulio, on Lake Orta.

Choé & Guillaume wanted a romantic venue directly on the lake and so they chose the beautiful Villa Rocchetta in Ispra, on the Lombard shore of Lake Maggiore.

The ceremony of our French wedding on Lake Maggiore, overlooking the lake, was very emotional with the American gospel. The aperitif was organized in the beautiful park but, due to a trick of the weather (yes we are talking about improvised hail!) we had to move it inside quickly! The reactivity of our trusted catering was decisive in this situation!

So the guests were able to enjoy the party even with plan B. In fact, Chloé’s message after the wedding told us that all the guests were enchanted by their wedding.

Dinner was planned inside the dining room, with a veranda overlooking the lake, while after dinner on the ground floor, in the ancient rooms of the Villa that overlook the outside.

If you want a romantic wedding on Lake Maggiore, don’t hesitate to contact me!

A “country” wedding in the nature

A “COUNTRY” WEDDING IN THE NATURE

Srecko and Alenka, our couple of Slovenian origin,  live in France sice many years. They were therefore looking for a wedding venue halfway between Slovenia and Lyon in order to reunite their families and friends.

I received their request a few months before the wedding. A real challenge!

This is how they chose the Borgo San Cristoforo. This domain immersed in nature allowed them to live their dream.

Srecko and Alenka not only wanted to say “I do” in front of their loved ones but also to offer them an amazing experience. In fact, we organized for them over several days: excursions, guided tours, Ferrari ride, surprise birthday of one of the children of the family… And even Alenka’s religious baptism the day before the wedding!

All this with a lot of love and emotions!

Symbolic Wedding Ceremony in Italy

WEDDING SYMBOLIC CEREMONY

Perhaps you wonder what a symbolic marriage is and how to organize your Symbolic Wedding Ceremony in Italy?

Many newlyweds are now asking themselves the same question!

Here are some answers…

Why choosing a Symbolic Wedding Ceremony?

The first question is: why the couples choose a symbolic ceremony? The reasons are varied according to the couple.

1- THE FACILITY

Often this option is considered when marriage abroad seems too complicated to organize. Do not you want documents or worry about civil or religious procedures? The symbolic ceremony is the ideal solution.

2- FREEDOM

Another of the reasons mentioned mainly by couples is the freedom that allows in particular in the place that will host the wedding: a beach, a private garden or even an unusual place. Often outdoors, something that traditional Catholic religious marriage for example does not allow.

3- CUSTOMIZATION OF THE CEREMONY

One of the highlights of the symbolic ceremony is the customization of the marriage. The couple will choose the texts, the readings, the poems, the music, they will talk about themselves and their loved ones. No ready stories or cold and impersonal ceremonies. The spouses will be the center of the attention. Tears of joy could come, get your tissues ready!

It’s YOUR ceremony, so you decide! You will be able to choose the moments you want and at the right time. Have you always dreamed of a short and happy ceremony? Or on the contrary, a long and emotional ceremony? You choose. But… be careful not to fall into the ridiculous!

WHAT ARE THE RULES OF A SYMBOLIC WEDDING CEREMONY?

The only rule is that there is no rule!

However some tips can be given for a successful and memorable ceremony:

  • As a religious ceremony, create special moments with customized texts read by witnesses or people close to the spouses
  • Organize moments of music to take some breaks
  • Avoid a ceremony too short (which could leave guests disappointed) or, on the contrary, too long (and that could become boring)
  • Do not choose the random celebrant … And yes, often the couple gives this responsibility to a family member. But beware, this is not an easy task! The success of the ceremony is largely based on the celebrant’s shoulders. Everyone can not speak well in front of an audience! For this reason, we advise you to call an external celebrant and professional who will be able to conduct the ceremony.

THE POSSIBLE RITES YOU MAY ADD TO YOUR SYMBOLIC WEDDING CEREMONY:

Within the ceremony you can enter one or more rites, according to your wishes! For example:

  • The exchange of the rings: almost obligatory, this passage is the symbol of eternal love, connection, infinity, strength, fidelity
  • The reading of the votes: the newlyweds make promises, proof of their mutual commitment in front of their witnesses and their relatives
  • The ritual of the sand: symbolizes the newlyweds who will become only one…
  • The wine’s ritual: the newlyweds seal their wishes in a box containing a bottle of fine wine. In case of difficult steps within the couple, they can open it and read again their commitments, remember why they are together. On the contrary, if everything goes well, they will be able to open the bottle and celebrate their wedding anniversary with dignity! (ideal rite for those who like good things in life)

Feel free to contact us to organize your Symbolic Wedding Ceremony in Italy!

5 Places not to be missed on Lake Maggiore

5 PLACES NOT TO BE MISSED ON LAKE MAGGIORE

Lake Maggiore is one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy. Beautiful certainly but also very romantic and evocative thanks to the Borromean Islands and other hidden treasures. Here is a list of the 5 places not to be missed…

STRESA AND THE BORROMEO ISLANDS

Obviously the first stop to visit when spending a holiday (or a few days) on the shores of Lake Maggiore is Stresa and the Borromee islands. Not visiting them would be like going to Paris and not seeing the Eiffel Tower or going to Rome and not seeing the Colosseum. If you have time, we suggest you to visit at least Isola Bella and Isola dei Pescatori but Isola Madre is also worth the effort, for its suggestive gardens and tropical plants.

SANTA CATERINA DEL SASSO

Sanctuary built right on the rock that goes to pico inside the lake. Very evocative, it is also a place full of serenity and quietness. To be seen.

THE GARDENS OF VILLA TARANTO AND VILLA PALLAVICINO

The garden of Villa Taranto is recognized as “one of the most beautiful gardens in the world” while the garden of Villa Pallavicino will enchant the little ones with its animals to observe…

ARONA AND THE ROCCA DI ANGERA

The Rocca di Angera dominates the southern end of Lake Maggiore. If you are passionate about history, its historic rooms, embellished with precious frescoes will conquer you. Inside the Castle, on the other hand, you will find the Doll and Toy Museum, which is beautiful both for adults and children.

Arona. City known for its long lake on which it is pleasant to take a walk in the summer with ice cream in hand or the pedestrian center and its boutiques. But beyond that, it also has a historical charm with the Piazza del Popolo and its typical colored buildings or the Rocca Borromea where there are the remains of a fortress, founded in a period just before the year one thousand (still intact and impressive twin of the Rocca Borromea of Angera).

CANNERO RIVIERA

Known as the city of citrus fruits. In fact, the Village has a long historical tradition of citrus cultivation: in its famous gardens and elegant villas you can see ancient specimens. And it is thanks to the cultivation of citrus and olive trees, favored by the mild climate of Lake Maggiore, that Cannero, since the mid-twentieth century, has taken the name of “Riviera”.
